Our history
Pharma Data Protection was spun out of the pharma consulting company MWB Consulting as a specialist data protection and data privacy consulting service in 2021.
MWB Consulting’s team of highly experienced consultants has been advising the pharmaceutical industry, institutions, researchers, and investors on development, regulatory approval and postmarketing scientific support for medicinal products, biologics, medical devices, cosmetics, and advanced therapies since 2001.
With the implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in 2018, more of MWB Consulting’s clients needed advice on applying the GDPR to clinical trial data processing activities within the EEA and UK. It was time for Pharma Data Protection to offer a standalone data protection consulting service, drawing on our consultants’ extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry allied to specific qualifications and expertise in data protection.
